Guatemala 2025

We (Thayne, Lexi, Kenzie, and I) went to Guatemala for fall break this year. This was Kenzie's first Humanitarian trip. It was great. We served in 2 areas, Esquipulas and Guatemala City. The group we went with had big hearts and I loved the gospel centered activities and devotionals. The down side was they were very inefficient. We loved the country, the food, the chicken buses, the people, the pastor's family, the beautiful architecture and mountains. Our office manager, Bethany, joined us on this trip. It was her first time leaving the country.
We made a video when we got back. Here's the youtube link.

We walked to the local church on Sunday. I love going to church when we travel.

We rode in the back of a truck a lot of the time.

This drunk, old man gave me a big smooch. 😘

The people in Esquipulas would walk hours down the mountain and be waiting for us to see them each morning when we got there.

prayer circle to start the day

Kenzie helped as Thayne's assistant most of the time. He would call her his chief loving officer.

Lexi helped with extractions

We made it to the temple after clinic one night.

We had a big ol dinnerto thank us for coming. The food was delicious but we're pretty sure the restaurant took advantage of the foreigners and had us buy way too much food.

Kenzie passed out at dinner that night.

The group we were with would always feed the people who came to get dental work done. They would also send them home with clothes and food and stuff in the mountainy areas. So much good being done.

Everywhere we went, we had a police escort.

The last day was spent in Antigua. Antigua is beautiful and we were able to play tourist and eat some delicious food.

Thayne and I got up and went for a run while the girls slept in. We saw the volcano, Antigua and the beautiful countryside.
