Veteran's Day 2011
The day after Veteran's Day I took the kids to Lowe's to build a science kit and then there was a small parade at the park next to our house. There were only 2 other kids at the parade so Tyson and Lexi were given most of the candy. Tyson still had his goggles and apron on from Lowes.
Thayne had originally asked for Veteran's Day off so that we could go to the temple. However, the temple was closed so he switched and asked for the next weekend off. However, that morning when we were about to leave the house we realized our recommends were expired. Bummer! He had already taken the day off work so we headed to a new waterpark. This doesn't have anything to do with Veteran's Day but our kids love ice cream! They can pound these things!

Thanksgiving 2011
I love Thanksgiving. We hosted this year and we had 28 people in our house. I was afraid it was going to be super crowded but it was fine and we had a lot of fun.
Of course the boys had to play football before we ate. View of most of the peeps. You can't see the kid tables from this view.I love pies. Doesn't this spread look amazing? The cheesecake on the left is homemade. Prettiest homemade pie I've ever seen.

Halloween 2011
This year for Halloween we went with the Dr. Seuss theme. Tyson was Cat in the Hat. Lexi was Cindy Lou Who and Thayne and I were going to be Thing 1 and Thing 2 but Thayne had to work/was on call a lot on Halloween week so we decided to not build our costumes so it's just Tyson and Lexi. Lexi is the cutest little Cindy Lou Who!
