August 2024

Everyone started school.

TJ says he has 2 schools. He does the Waterford Upstart program on his own and he goes to the same school as the girls in their preschool program. It's only 2 days a week and not super academic but he loves it. He has 4 teachers and 12 kids in his class. Some of them have IEPs and special needs. He says he is going to teach one of the boys to walk and talk this year.
Jojo and her friends are so silly

We planned a last summer hurrah where we went boating and then out for shaved ice but it was so cold  we were too freezing to even finish our shaved ice.

Demolition Derby 2024

I got pretty sick this month. I was running a fever and had some lower right side abdomen pains. After a few days of this and some moments of intense pain I went to the Instacare to have it checked out. They think it was either appendicitis or a burst cyst on my ovary. The ER was super backed up so they sent me home with some strong antibiotics. Apparently you can try to treat appendicitis this way. The antibiotics made me nauseous, throw up, diarrhea, caught thrush, and had every other side effect possible. I struggled eating for a week, lost 7 pounds, had no energy and just felt awful. Thankfully it went away when I was done with the antibiotics and the pain in the abdomen also stayed away.

We hit up a couple of concerts this week. The best being the Taylor Swift tribute concert. We all had so much fun singing and dancing. The singer didn't have the best voice but she put on a good show. She knew all of Taylor's dance moves and the girls were in heaven. It rained a ton during the concert but everyone stuck around for Taylor.

We adopted a meal at the Ronald McDonald house.

Yay, landscaping is done. The kids love having a trampoline and spend a lot of time on it.

Still working through some issues in the new house.

Tyson's end of summer cross country run was a family event.

TJ continues to like soccer. I think he loves the socialness of it the most.

We took Tyson to the dueling pianos again this year. They are so talented and know how to put on a good show.

Dr. appointments for the girls:
Lexi- 107# (42%), 64 in (59%)
Jojo- 50# (18%), 48.9 in (21%)

Whitney taught us how to perm and color Lexi's eyelashes. It works so great for her as a swimmer.

Tyson asked Kenzie Dye to Homecoming.
