anniversary trip

Thayne and I were able to get away for our anniversary. We stayed at the Anniversary Inn in the Jungle Safari room. It was lots of fun. We started off our trip with a visit with Grandpa Jim and then went shopping, to the movies, to the temple, rested, and ate in peace. :) The second night we stayed at a hotel right next to temple square. It was really cold all day but much easier to handle without little peeps. Thanks grandma for watching our littles!

Our first experience at a trampoline place with Rachel's family. We all loved it. I'm not adventurous when it comes to flips.

Christmas morning we woke up to snow!!! So magical. I loved it.

George and Geri came over to watch the kids open their presents. We love them and have adopted them as grandparents. They sit by us every Sunday and our kids LOVE them. They'll take the kids to the movies, park, have a water-fight with the kids and spoil all of us rotten. 

Thayne made Tyson and Lexi a scripture case with George's help. They turned out super cute and the kids love taking them to church. Kenzie needs one too. She is always taking the other kid's cases.

We went to Adam and Kasey's house later Christmas day. The roads weren't great and we were glad to be off them. We went shooting. Thayne was in heaven!

Trying to carry on the tradition that we had when I was little. We would pull out the race car set every Christmas or New Years. It's kind of hard with old tracks and little kids that want to touch everything but still fun.

They added paintballing to our pass of all passes from 7 peaks. We had a lot of fun. Uncle Sam is the man!

Hawaiian Christmas

I have over 1000 pictures to go through from our phones so a lot of the blogging is picture dumping today. I'm glad we have great resources to record our lives but it sure is time consuming! The kids love looking through the blog books and seeing what they were like when they were little. It totally cracks me up to hear 4 year old Lexi say, "when I was litttle, I would...."

Our ward had a Hawaiian Christmas party this year. The kids were exhausted and dinner started late so they weren't in the best of moods but we still had fun and the food was good.

snow and sunshine

We got some amazing snow one day. You could make a snowman in minutes. The snow would pack together so easily and just leave the grass underneath. I don't remember snow like this ever.

Home Depot Saturday crafting

This was a beautiful winter day back in January or February. Thayne and I ran a 5 miler in a t-shirt. Makes me happy!

The kids love to sit in bed looking at books. I love seeing all three of them lined up reading. Makes my heart happy.

Lexi has gotten really good at playing with Kenzie. I frequently hear giggling and screaming from these two.

Tyson started wrestling. He was so excited until he had his first match and we didn't prep him very well. He is not aggresive and would usually end up on bottom with tears rolling down his cheeks. Broke my heart. He hasn't won much but he's done better. This may be it for him and wrestling.
