Sun Valley Trip

There are three families from our Buffalo ward that live in Twin Falls. We all got together one weekend and went to Sun Valley. This was one of my favorite trips this year. It's so comfortable with these friends and our friendships have grown throughout the years. I have so much respect for both these families and I love running in to them around town, seeing their kids, and still being a part of each other's lives. Ryan's grandpa owns an awesome cabin and we were all able to stay together. The house reminded me of my grandparents house. There were the same fixtures in the bathroom, shaggy carpet, a step back into the 70s! Loved it! Kenzie didn't sleep well and so I didn't also but it was worth it to hang out with our Buffalo friends!

The kids - I think 5 out of 7 were born in Buffalo.

Kenzie had her 2nd birthday back on February 4th. For the most part this little cherub makes us so happy. She smiles a ton, gives the BEST hugs out, shares so nicely with her siblings. This morning I was asking Lexi to go get a pillow and Kenzie heard me ask that and went and got a pillow for Lexi. She loves babies, stuffed animals, her pillow, the ipad, dancing, and all grandmas and grandpas. She loves to wear her swimsuit and/or Sunday dress. She has such a sweet little personality and we are so happy she is part of our family!

Las Vegas

I was able to do a short girl's trip to Las Vegas with some great friends from dental school. It was lots of fun. We stayed at the Excalibur and shopped, went to Cirque Du Soleil, ate yummy food, got a massage (my first ever), and talked and talked and talked. It was so fun to reconnect and feel like we are still close even though distance says otherwise. Melissa came from the DC area and Kandis drove up from California. So fun! I wasn't gone long (~36 hours) but Thayne was sooooo happy to have me home. It's always nice to come home and be appreciated. :)

Grandma and Grandpa Gardner had meetings in SLC so we were able to visit with them while they were here. We went out for some brazilian food one night. So yummy!

My best friend from college just had a baby girl. Kenzie and I got to go meet her! Kenzie's middle name came from Allyson's middle name so it was fun for me to have them meet.

This little lady insists on wearing a swimsuit all the time. It sure makes it inconvenient to change a diaper.

This was our first snowfall in the year - I think it was November. Not a lot but still exciting.

Grandma Mary's daughter came to visit. We loved meeting her. She brought the kids presents which was so nice of her.

Second snowfall. Tyson and Lexi played out in the cold for a long time. They had a blast "hulk-smashing" the ice on the tramp.

The other doctor that works with Thayne comes over for dinner frequently. His family lives a couple hours away so the kids enjoy the attention they get from him.
