Yay! Thayne time!

So, Thayne finished his classes last Friday afternoon and I have enjoyed having him around again. We had a fun date Saturday night. We used a two-for-one coupon to get in to a mini golf course and then went out for ice cream. I was very pleased that we had an awesome date for about 10 bucks! Thayne beat me by a landslide but I got him back tonight in Scattergories. We are grateful that we have google to help us find out that Lindsey Lohan does have a biography and that there is such a thing as nutter butter ice cream. Who would have thought? I'll post pix from our date after I upload them.

Happy Father's Day

Tyson, Thayne, and I prepared something for Grandpa Gardner and Van Tassell. We really appreciate all that our fathers taught us and that they work so hard to provide for our families.
Grandpa G: Grandpa Gardner loves to serve and make others smile. He always has a joke to share and tries hard to provide for his wife and 9 kids. He's smart and loves to share his hobbies with his children. He's the best weeder and is a great example to his family and friends. Thayne is a lot like his father and I think it's wonderful. Thanks Grandpa Gardner for raising a great son! We sure love you!














Grandpa V: Grandpa Van Tassell is always willing to sacrifice for his kids. He would literally give us the shirt off his back if he thought it would help us. He loves to have fun and is a joy to be around. He loves to learn and tries to soak up every bit of church history out there. He values hard work and education and worked VERY hard to teach his children those things. There's nobody more fun to play a game with and always has time for a game or three. We love you Dad! Thanks a million!

How Boring!!

So, I'm totally disappointed that I'm Snow White!! I don't even think she is very pretty!! I think I'll make Thayne take the quiz later! Be excited to find out who he is.

Big Baby!

Tyson had his 2 month old checkup yesterday. He weighed in at 12 pounds 14 ounces and was 23 inches long. That puts him in the 75th percentile for weight and the 50th for height. His head circumference was also in the 50th percentile. The doctor asked how much the little man eats and Thayne replied, "between 2 and 8 ounces." She said, "Whoa, I think 6 ounces should be plenty for your little boy." Our baby does love to eat. Usually he only cries if he's hungry and he always thinks he's hungry. I guess that gives him permission to cry a lot.
Speaking of crying, Tyson got his shots yesterday. He was soooooo sad last night. When he would cry, his face would look so sad. It didn't help that he was outside at a garage sale with me all morning yesterday and his poor little legs got sunburned!! Poor kid. I took him with me to a baby shower this morning and he was much happier. He would stare at all the pretty ladies and loved all the attention. :) He's a ladies man already. Go Tyson!

When my niece was born my brother was really excited for her to see everything. He would wake her up so she could see her first cow, tree, frog, or whatever. He was really excited that she got to go to the Grand Canyon within the first 2 weeks of her life (She didn't like being woken up each time a new "first" came around). Well, Tyson didn't go to the Grand Canyon yet but he has done some cool things since he was born. Here are some of the cool things he's done:

Bowling with mom one week before he was born. (By the way, I was a much better bowler with Tyson's help. I usually get around 90 but I bowled a 133 once while pregnant!)

















Starting at 5 days old, Tyson started playing Bocce Ball. As family members came to visit he perfected his skills. Can't you tell he loves the event?






























He went to Duff's, a famous Buffalo Wing's Restaurant, and Niagara Falls by the time he was 10 days old!















At 4 weeks old Tyson had his first plane ride. He went to Utah, Cafe Rio, saw the Rocky Mountains, and encountered the first mound of ice cream that was just his size!!















At 7 weeks old Tyson went to Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. He was a great sport on all the car rides and really liked Harper's Ferry and Grandma.
