Hawaii 2018

Oh Hawaii, how we love you. Thayne had a dental conference in Honolulu so we went with him. I found cheap tickets after I already bought a couple so we didn't fly together. Thayne took Jordyn and Tyson on the way out on his NONSTOP flight and I took the other two. We had a couple layovers. The kids are did great although Kenzie announced when we got back that she never wanted to get on another airplane. Jordyn woke up at 3am our first morning there. It made for a couple of long days but the good news is we got a lot in those couple of days. We went to Costco as soon as we got there and picked up supplies. The older two kids noticed right off the bat that we were much fairer than everybody else. We went to Hanauma Bay, the blow hole, the swap meet, beach where the turtles are up on shore, Haleiwa shaved ice, Pearl Harbor, Waimea, Waimea hike and falls, Diamond Head hike, Manoa Falls hike (where Jurassic Park was filmed), PCC, caught lizards, ate some great korean food, spent time with Thayne's boss from Idaho, and lots of walks around waikiki. Thayne and I would get up and run 5 miles or so in the mornings and end at a bakery. It was great! Beach days were magical with kids. Tyson and Lexi even jumped off of Waimea rock.  The conference was the second part of the trip. We met up with part of Thayne's staff at the PCC on Jordyn's birthday. On the way home, Thayne took Tyson and I had the other 3 girls. Since Jordyn had a birthday while we there, she got her own seat on the way home.

Fancy toilets in Waikiki. Kenzie pushed the button that sprayed her bum and got quite a surprise. She gave the toilet a thumbs up.
