March 2021

We went to California for spring break. We were hoping Disneyland would be open and we could use our tickets. It wasn't. We had a great week. We went to a different beach every day, ate Italian ice almost every day, and went to downtown Disney. The kids played without whining and loved the ocean. Our favorite beach was Newport Beach. The dolphins were out playing in the sand and a seal was being pretty friendly with the swimmers. The weather was amazing. The day at Newport Beach we even got in the water the weather was so nice. We jammed to the song "Cake by the Ocean" with cake on multiple days. The first time we did it the wind was crazy and kicking sand all over the cake. It was kind of nasty and a flop. Although TJ still loved the sand covered cake. The next time we bought hostess cupcakes and it worked out much better.

I taught the kids how to flick coins. We fished coins out of the pond and flicked them back in. Tyson got pretty good at it. We got a couple funny looks fishing the coins out of the pond.

Thayne and Tyson did a spartan race in Mesquite on our way to California. They had a blast. We put a climbing rope up in our living room for them to train on. Tyson has gotten a lot stronger and rocked the climbing rope.

I love this oldest kid and the teenager he is becoming. He's so amazing!

We got to walk the house that is on the property that we bought. The house will be torn down. It's probably a good thing. It's a wreck inside.

We're starting to get nicer weather a bit here and there. Yay!

Jett had a birthday! (The cake is from among us in case you don't recognize it.)

The youth did a temple to temple run. Tyson was one of the first runners in.

Cat in the hat day at school.

Thayne had a birthday! He's the best!
Kenzie had her yearly well child check. She is 44 lbs. (4%) and 46.9 in (6%). The joke is that she listens when I tell the kids to not grow.
Everyone loves the climbing rope.

Lexi got her finger smashed. The wind blew a door closed on it. The tip broke and she had to get a few stitches. It's on the same finger that she cut when she was a toddler.

Rock art of Jesus' birth

Grandpa let the wrestlers cut his hair. It was pretty entertaining.
