March 2020

Lexi made her own pillow for activity days

We told Kenzie to go do something quiet on a Sunday morning. She came back with a temple.

Schools closed due to the coronavirus. The teachers had a parade. The kids made signs to cheer them on. We miss school. The teachers and kids are all putting in great efforts.

We got free tickets to Hale Center theater's Strictly Ballroom. I took Grandma Friday night and Thayne took the 3 oldest kids Saturday morning. It was fun for all of us.

Thayne and I love the Bean Museum date night. We won this year! Here we are pictured with the staff that makes it all happen.

Shortly after school's closed down, Thayne's work also shut down. We weren't sure if it was going to be 6 months or 2 weeks. It ended up being 6 weeks. Our friends in other states were shut down much longer.

The youth had a Where's Waldo activity. They had to find members of the ward dressed up at the mall. I don't recognize most of these people in their fabulous costumes!

Brother Heninger even brought his mom for his disguise. He's super skinny so the belly throws you off.

Monkey bread for breakfast is always a hit. Kenzie made her a mini monkey bread.

We are learning to do church at home.

Weather is starting to warm up. Picnic in the park gets us some fresh air while we are quarantined

Thayne's birthday. Makinlee made his cake and it is so cool.

We have played lots of games and watched a lot of movies.

And then it's cold again

Tyson's sweet teacher dropped off some books, candy, and came to say hi to Tyson. She did this for her whole class. We have loved having her this year.  All of the kid's teachers are working so hard during this crazy pandemic.
